Background: This paper achieves the journal map system based on electronic cultural atlas by using Google Map.

Methods/Statistical Analysis: File generator (generator. php) produces space, time, and theme data searched in databased into XML or KML files through parsing. HTML, CSS, and chieved for electronic cultural atlas call XML/KML files and file generators, and prints out contents on the map.

Findings: Amid the recent growing interests in ICT integration, there are many interdisciplinary researches such as cultural map database and electronic cultural atlas. Various cultural aspects are represented as dots, lines, and sides on this map. Users can obtain information related with three values by manipulating theme, space, and time value.
Furthermore, users can get information more effintly by enhancing availability, accessibility, and intuitiveness to the system as text information is visualized in various ways such as dot, line, side, and symbol on the map.

Improvements/Applications: This system offers journal information service and can be used as a tool for providing efficient academic papers to researchers through visual information on the map as well as analysis of academic trend. This is specifically used as a basis system for research on mind.
